Lynette was born in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, and is a member of the Sutton Art Society which was founded by Walter Langley of the Newlyn School. She has had numerous exhibitions at galleries in Sutton Coldfield and in the rest of the country including The Stable Gallery, Sutton Coldfield. the Picture Parlour, Heart of the Country, Lichfield, The Starfish Gallery in St Ives in Cornwall. She is now a member of the St Ives Society of Artists in St Ives where she now lives with her husband. She has won numerous awards including the Eda Wilkinson award for best painting in an exhibition, and most popular painting in the first open exhibition of the St Ives Society of Artists, voted by the public. Apart from exhibiting at The Little Picture Gallery in Mousehole since it opened in December 2005, she also exhibits in the Waterside Gallery in St Ives, The Wonderwall Gallery in Cirencester, and the Where I fell In Love Gallery.
