I have been painting, drawing and doodling for as long as I can remember. After spending several exciting years traveling and working around the world, I spent ten years in BBC TV and Radio as a Production Secretary before taking a change of direction and studying Art at Chelsea College of Art and Design, and at the St Ives School of painting.
I have been exhibiting in many exhibitions and galleries around the UK including with the Ealing Group; The Royal Institute of British Architects in London; The Artshed, New Milton; Devon Guild of Craftsmen in Bovey Tracey; Exeter Central Library; Herbies Restaurant in Exeter, and various galleries in Bournemouth and Poole: with ABNA at the Crypt Gallery in St Ives, as well as the Little Picture Gallery in Mousehole. My paintings have found their way into collections around the world including St Lucia, Canada, USA, The Philippines, Falkland Islands, all over Europe and the UK.
I particularly like painting in bright colours - usually in acrylic or mixed media and often create paintings using ideas and sketches from my piles of overflowing sketchbooks from my travels. My favourite style is "naive", although I also enjoy painting large, splatty,. colourful abstracts and when I have time - mosaics, handmade cards, silver jewellery as well as helping out with art classes at the local school.
I live in Devon with my husband and three daughters, who are usually happy to splash a paintbrush around to keep me company in my artshed in the garden!
I am a member of The Association of British naïve Artists.
