George was born in London in 1962 of Jamaican parents.   It was during his stay in Australia in the 1980’s that he began to paint, after seeing a large balloon floating past his bedroom window.

His paintings are the work of an untrained unselfconscious artist who paints in a direct manner with no regard for the conventions or styles of any school.

The Mood of his paintings is happy and bright.   There is a lot of colour and activity.   It is the world of an adult looking through the eyes of a child.
